homeschoolers
Welcome to the very first edition of Literary Legends, a creative writing magazine for home-educated students across Aotearoa!
This magazine is packed with games and activities, writing prompts for you to try, and, of course, poems, jokes, stories, articles, and illustrations created by your fellow homeschoolers.
A huge thank you to everyone who made a submission. It has been so much fun putting this first issue together, and I really hope it becomes a special little treasure for the tamariki whose work is featured inside.
Please consider purchasing some for your homeschool group here (from as little as $1 !!)
Happy reading, writing and creating!

If you’d like to see another edition of Literary Legends, then send us your submission! We’ll put together and print the next issue as soon as we have enough contributions to the magazine. Ideally in around 6 months time.
It can be a great motivator for rangatahi to get writing.
You could submit a poem, short story, research article, comic, jokes, travel review, book report, or nature journal excerpts.
Submissions can be about any subject or theme, OR jump on board our issue theme, “The Unexpected.“ Below are some prompts to get you thinking.
